Prototyping phase

KORA is a modular table system based on a simple constructive idea: clamping wood using steel. Subtle angular steel profiles create a self-locking connection that fixes Douglas fir beams in place using hand-tightened M8 wing nuts (or wood screws). The result is a robust, tool-free and fully demountable structure.

A 24 mm birch plywood (table) top rests on the wooden frame, while adjustable feet allow the table to adapt to different floors and contexts. Thanks to its modular setup, KORA can easily be scaled or reconfigured, from table to bench or workspace.

KORA explores how geometry, friction, and material behavior can define a flexible and repeatable furniture system.
