Prototyping phase

Together with Bram, I developed a robust modular furniture line for Portaal, built from precision bent sheet metal components for both outdoor and indoor use. The system is designed for versatility, allowing individual pieces to serve multiple functions, for example a stool that can also become a chair through modular configuration.
Due to strict requirements around safety, durability and use in public space, the project demanded a highly controlled design and engineering approach. The result is a strong, stable set that can be anchored to the ground when needed. My role focused on concept development and design direction, translating early ideas into manufacturable detailing.
